Easy to care for, the Happy-Go-Lucky Hydrangea Collection flower on new growth, from June to September and sometimes longer. The light green leaves become yellow in autumn. If planted in an acidic soil containing alumina, blue tinges will appear, especially if treated with an additive of aluminium sulphate. Collection comprises; macrophylla ‘So Long Ebony’ – dark, almost black flower stems contract beautifully against the blooms and bright green foliage; macrophylla ‘So Long Rosy’ – one of the first Hydrangea to flower on new growth, pink flowers mature to green; and macrophylla ‘So Long Sunny’ – florets are white with pink and curled edges, which flush as they mature. Compact by nature, reaching a height of only around 1.2m and spreading 1-1.5m, the Happy-Go-Lucky Hydrangea Collection is perfect for containers or borders.
