Snowdrops are one of the first winter flowering bulbs to appear and are a symbolic representation that Spring is on its way.We have included a delightful double-flowered snowdrops, Galanthus 'Flore Pleno', alongside our pure white native wildflower, Galanthus nivalis. 'Flore Pleno' has narrower leaves in a grey-green colour and inside the nodding heads of these tiny, ruffled flowers are layers of intricate green and white marked petals. Galanthus n. 'Viridapice' completes the ensemble and is a taller variety with a long, hooded spathe - a perfect choice for those looking for something rare and unusual to add to their collection.Plant these hardy (H5) bulbous perennials in a site with a moist, free-draining soil which enjoys part sun/part shade. Ideal for underplanting shrubs and trees as well as growing in pots.
