Cordateria selloana rosea comes to us from the Argentine. Cordateria is an Argentinian name which we commonly know as 'Pampas', selloana indicates it came to Europe via a German botanist named Franck Sello, and rosea means it is pink. Oh yes indeed! Pink pampas grass from the Argentine, brought to us by a German plant-hunter, surely one of the most exotic, eye-catching, conversational-inducing plants you will have in your garden and for many years to come. As it is a grass it is very robust, hardy, and low maintenance. You can grow your Cordateria as a standalone in a container or grow amongst the shrubs in the border. The plumes display themselves summer into the autumn, like a giant tussock of elaborate colourful feathers. Quite superb.
