Attracting butterflies, bees and other pollinators when planted in borders and containers, the height, structure and colour of gladioli not only enhance the garden, they also make superb cut flower arrangements. This mix of gladioli contains an array of bright, joyful shades of cream, pink, orange, red, purple, and lilac – a veritable riot of colour. Gladiolus ‘Butterfly Mix’ prefers to be grown in free draining soil in a sunny area. Plant bulbs around 10cm deep and 15cm apart. After blooming let the bulb and foliage die back in the autumn and, if planted in your border, the bulbs can easily be lifted to be stored in a cool dark place.
