Tell Me More...
Delectable double-daisies full of sunshine and splendourTo give this lovely plant its full name - may we present Gerbera x jamesonii 'Garvinea Majestic Yellow'.Though never let the complexity of the name detract from the amazing colours in this exciting gerbera. If the bright and jaunty colours should fail to catch your eye, then their size is sure to stop you in your tracks. The stunning, double flowers reach up to 9cm across and are enhanced by large, deeply serrated green leaves which frame the yellow blooms from May to October. These immaculate blooms look wonderful at the front of borders or in containers and the long, straight stems make them ideal for cutting - either for a bouquet or for the vase. Alternatively, the entire plant will happily thrive in a pot, on windowsill, as a house plant.Prefers moist, well-drained soil in a site which enjoys full sun or part shade. A deciduous, half-hardy (H3) perennial which will require protection from temperatures below -5C over winter or can be grown as an annual. H&S: 40cm.
