Tell Me More...
A low growing abundance of cup shaped white flowers to contrast with dark green foliage, Geranium sanguineum 'Album' is a beautiful, low-maintenance perennial. A must-have for any garden, each crisp white bloom has a golden yellow centre and will attract bees and other pollinators in summer.Happy in borders, rockeries, and containers, the foliage creates dense, weed-suppressing groundcover. Easy to care for and requiring minimal maintenance, it is drought tolerant and will flourish in a wide range of soil types. Like most Geranium, sanguineum 'Album' is resistant to most garden pests and diseases and has received the Award of Garden Merit by the RHS for outstanding performance in the garden. Also known as Cranesbill, it is perfect for the front of your borders where it will reach an approximate height of 15-25cm, spreading to between 30-60cm. A fully hardy perennial withstanding temperatures to -20C, probably lower, the foliage will become dormant over winter and sprout again in the spring.
