A newer member to the family, Geranium pratense 'Algera Double' boasts fully double crisp, white blooms with purple veins and a purple heart. The flowers are held in clusters above well-behaved mounds of finely cut, weed-suppressing, green foliage from late spring to midsummer. Geranium pratense 'Algera Double' is not to be confused with the tender Pelargonium Geranium. These are long-lasting, hardy geranium; also known by the common name, Cranesbill. Cranesbill refers to the shape of the seed pods which develop once the blooms have faded.Double geraniums are highly sought after, easy to grow, slug, deer and rabbit resistant and low maintenance. Furthermore, they make excellent cut flowers for arrangements within your home and will last up to 10 days in a vase. Geranium pratense 'Algera Double' is drought tolerant and unfussy on soil conditions, preferring a spot in either full sun or part shade. Fully hardy, herbaceous perennials which reach a height of around 45cm and spread to 60cm.
