Low growing and slightly trailing, Geranium sanguineum 'Dilys' is a much-underused garden treasure. Invaluable for its easy-going, undemanding nature alongside its versatility and beautiful nectar-rich blooms. Effortless to grow in either borders or containers, this is a remarkably floriferous geranium which gives much in return for so little attention. A robust variety which forms a colourful carpet of beautiful, magenta pink, saucer-shaped flowers from June to October.
Hardy geraniums create an attractive, weed-suppressing groundcover which is slug and rabbit resistant as well as being drought tolerant. The clumps get larger every year and are readily divided once they outgrow their location, creating more plants to share.
