A new, hybrid cross between two varieties of gaillardia which combines the best qualities of both to create a vigorous and robust plant with and abundant, blanket of blooms. Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Sunset Snappy' brings sunny flowers, up to 10cm across, with purple-pink petals which have striking yellow tips. Blooms are produced over mounds of grey-green foliage from early summer through to October time if spent flowers are removed to encourage continual production. This colourful variety is perfect for pollinators and also makes and excellent cut flower for a vase or bouquet. Petals will glow like fire embers bringing reflective splendour to pots, window boxes and herbaceous borders.A fabulous way to pull in butterflies and other pollinators to your garden, Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Sunset Snappy' prefers a site with well-drained soil in full sun that benefits from a south or west facing aspect.
