Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Burgunder' offers daisy-like flowers up to 10cm across with ruby red petals and red-stained, yellow centres above a bushy, mound of foliage. Blooms glow like fire embers; bringing a warmth and depth to your planting from June through to September time. Foliage emerges in March and is retained through to November each year - leaves are long and narrow with a slightly hairy surface.Prefers a site with well-drained soil in full sun. Gaillardia x grandiflora 'Burgunder' is a hardy, herbaceous perennial which is drought tolerant once established. It will happily settle in wildlife gardens, where flowers will attract butterflies, as well as rockeries or gravel gardens and herbaceous borders. We recommend that you leave spent flower heads on the plant at the end of the flowering season as goldfinches love to feast on the seeds. Plants mature to a height and spread of 40-50cm.
