Cool and sophisticated, Fuchsia 'Carmel Blue' boasts an abundance of single, long, pendent-like flowers hanging from the branches from summer through to the autumn. Looking almost ballerina-like, the blooms boast pure white sepals and tube, which contrast beautifully with the sky-blue corolla which matures to sumptuous shades of violet, blue-purple. Upright and bushy, with dark green, ovate, shiny leaves, Fuchsia 'Carmel Blue' creates a relatively compact and attractive shape in your borders and containers, where bees and butterflies will visit for a tasty titbit.Achieving a mature height and spread of up to 1m, Fuchsia 'Carmel Blue' is classified as H3 by the RHS, some winter protection would need to be provided whenever temperatures dip below around -5 C. Happiest placed in moist but well-drained soil, in full sun or partial shade. Pruning group 6, just cut back any dead branches hard to ground level in early spring.
