Tell Me More...
Fuchsia Blue Angel produces lovely large, blue-purple, double blooms that hang elegantly from relaxed stems, making you the envy of your neighbourhood from early summer through to the autumn. The striking bloom colours, offset by the rich green foliage, look simply mesmerising in exotic gardens. Many argue that these belong in hanging baskets where the laid-back flowers can drape over the sides and swing below the basket like the crystals of an exquisite chandelier. They will certainly hold their own alone but look equally wonderful when paired with lobelia, coleus or angel wing begonias to create a display that butterflies will struggle to resist. Watch them float by, land on the leaves, enjoy a moment of peace and tranquillity, then float away again to find another colourful destination. These half-hardy perennials should be grown in full sun or partial shade in rich, well-drained soil and sheltered from cold winds.
