Fragaria x ananassa Honeoye is one of the leading commercially grown varieties of strawberry which is now available to the public. A heavy-cropping variety which is perfect for eating fresh and for jams and jellies. Whats more it freezes well too. An exceptional strawberry which holds an RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding performance and reliability. Fruits are produced from June to July each year. In addition, Fragaria x ananassa Honeoye is perfect for growing in pots and baskets, as well as the ground, allowing those of us with smaller plots, or balconies and terraces to grow their own nutritious and delicious fruits too. Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun. These fragaria are hardy, herbaceous perennials which will die-back below the ground over winter then return for more crops the following season. Reaches a height of 25cm with a spread of 30cm.
