The plants in Flavoursome Fragaria Collection have been specially selected for their exceptional flavour, reliability and generous cropping from June to July each year. In addition to this we have selected varieties which are perfect for pots and baskets as well as the ground, allowing those of us with smaller plots, or balconies and terraces to grow their own nutritious and delicious fruits too. We have also included 2 award-winning varieties and a recommended favourite in an effort to make your summer just a little sweeter. Flavoursome Fragaria Collection prefer to be planted in fertile, moist, well-drained soil which benefits from full sun. These fragaria are hardy, herbaceous and semi-evergreen perennials which will die-back below the ground over winter then return for more crops the following season.
