Tulips are the most-loved spring season blooms both for your garden and as cut flowers to decorate your home as the spring weather warms up after a bleak winter.
This ‘Fiery Tulip Collection’ comprises; ‘Lasting Love’ – a ‘Triumph’ variety, with deep red, almost purple petals which overlap to form a slender fluted bloom in mid spring, height 60cm; ‘Brown Sugar’ – a ‘Triumph’ variety, single cup-shaped blooms in softly blazing shades of copper, burnt orange and bronze – one of the few scented tulips – height 60cm; and ‘Salmon Lalibela’ – a ‘Darwin’ variety, boasting large, single, cup-shaped blooms in warm tones of salmon-pink, with a stunning almost metallic sheen, height 50cm.
Originating from hot, dry habitats, these hardy bulbous perennials prefer to be grown in fertile, sharply drained soil in full sun and shelter from strong winds. Excessive wet will not be tolerated.
