Tell Me More...
A dense bushy shrub, Euonymus japonicus 'Aureomarginatus' creates a rounded oval shape of evergreen foliage, perfect for adding architectural stature to your garden. Reliable and low maintenance, ready to light up the darkest of areas, the glossy green foliage with fantastic yellow margins makes quite a statement in borders and containers. Introduced from Japan in the early 1800’s, this saline tolerant shrub became popular planted in sea front towns. The dense foliage creates wonderful weed-suppressing groundcover. The branches are excellent for cutting, making an incredible addition to your floral arrangements. Euonymus japonicus 'Aureomarginatus' is happy grown in any aspect in sun or partial shade, preferring moist but well-drained soil. Reaching a mature height and spread of approximately 1m, it is hardy to around -15°C and has the RHS classification of H5. All parts may cause severe discomfort if ingested.
