‘Eternal Tulipa Collection’ is packed with unusual varieties with a distinctive, regal air to the blooms. Each has a star or crown-shaped bloom which, when in bud, is a delicate teardrop shape, opening and widening through March and April.
Your collection comprises the RHS Award of Garden Merit holder, clusiana ‘Lady Jane’ with its slender appearance, bicoloured petals and contrasting black anthers; the small, delicate and utterly charming orphanidea with open, orange crown-like flowers; and, last but by no means least, the bright, sunny-hued and lemon-scented sylvestris.
Plants in the ‘Eternal Tulipa Collection’ prefer well-drained soil of any aspect except north-facing. Plant in full sun for best results. These hardy (H6), bulbous perennials reach a height of 25-30cm, with a spread of 15-20cm and will naturalise over time to bring you swathes of colour in containers, borders and meadows as well as rockeries or gravel gardens.
