Tell Me More...
Erysimum ‘Winter Spice’ brings that exotic, warm and colourful feeling to your garden oasis. Glowing blooms of ochre and orange, with a hint of paprika appear in the cold springtime of March and continue until the heat of July, above dark green evergreen foliage. With an adaptable habit ‘Winter Spice’ is perfect for a rock garden, the middle of a border, or a container display. Plant near a seating area or patio so the sweet fragrance which has spicey notes can be fully appreciated. A magnet for bees, butterflies and other pollinators, the scent will be accompanied by the delicate hum of busy bees! Erysimum ‘Winter Spice’ is part of the ‘Winter Series’ specifically bred to combine the best qualities of several species, resulting in large, long-flowering plants in a range of colours with wonderful perfumes. This hardy perennial with an RHS rating of H4, tolerant of temperatures down to -10 C, prefers poor to moderately fertile, well drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun or partial shade and grows to a height of 30-60cm and spread of 40-50cm.
