Tell Me More...
Spreading mounds of small green leaves are nicely flecked with bronze shades for beautiful and weed-suppressing groundcover all year round. In April and May incredible numbers of flower spikes laden with small yellow bells emerge adding dainty and delightful golden hues to partially shaded borders, under shrubs and at the edge of wooded areas. Epimedium ‘Sunny and Share’ will also happily grow in a strategically placed container, provided the soil is kept moist. Plant in moist, well-drained soil which is acid to alkaline in pH value. Avoid heavy clay soils, or adjust accordingly, as Epimedium ‘Sunny and Share’ does not like waterlogged or dry soil. Give your epimedium a spot in partial shade with any aspect other than south-facing and this hardy, evergreen perennial will reach height of 35cm, spreading up to 45cm as an individual plant then naturalising by spreading rhizomes under the ground to reach even further.
