Tell Me More...
Effervescent Bidens ferulifolia Brazen Collection brings you mounds of ferny foliage to add ground covering interest from April to October - suppressing weeds and filling gaps as they grow. Then, from June to October, foliage is covered by attention seeking, daisy-like blooms in varying shades of yellow, orange and red - lighting up the garden with glowing hues. Each nectar-rich flower has a heart of gold which is sure to charm both the pollinators and passers-by. Related to the Mexican wild sunflower, these bold and brazen blooms have fantastically patterned petals, resembling the rays of a brightly shining sun and once established, are drought tolerant too. Your collection contains Happy Sun - with bright yellow petals; Rising Sun - with rich and intense orange-red hues; and Glowing Sky - the variety with a striking halo at its centre, along with red and yellow markings. Plant Effervescent Bidens ferulifolia Brazen Collection in well-drained soil of any type, which benefits from full sun or partial shade. Classified as a half-hardy annual by the RHS, plants will not tolerate temperatures below -5 C.
