Echinacea purpurea 'Pink Double Delight' brings central cones which are mass of tiny, rich pink petals, surrounded by larger, paler drooping petals at the edge. A fascinating form to add pom-poms of vibrant colour to your borders, window boxes and containers. Flowers are attractive to butterflies and other pollinators and excellent when cut for a vase or bouquet. Foliage emerges in March and lasts through to October time, with flowers produced from June through to September. Plants grow in strong, sturdy and create impact when planted with fluffy, prairie grasses such as miscanthus or pennisetum. Beneficially drought tolerant once established, Echinacea purpurea 'Pink Double Delight' will naturalise and spread up to 50cm, reaching a height of around 60cm in maturity. Prefers well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Hardy, herbaceous perennials which die back over winter and return with vigour the following spring.
