Echinacea purpurea ‘Marmalade’ is an exciting newcomer for 2024. With rounded tops on the double blooms, they have a ruffled resplendence to them, each flower has a longer petalled underskirt which offers intriguing and colourful drama in containers, raised beds and even prairie gardens. Flowers emerge in June and continue right through to October time for plentiful supplies both in the garden and in a vase for your home. Just remember to deadhead spent flowers for continual replenishment and long-lasting sustenance for pollinating visitors too. Echinacea purpurea ‘Marmalade’ certainly has a joyful orange tang to its robust and ragged petals.
