Tell Me More...
A South American native which belongs to the ‘Mandevilla’ family. Dipladenia ‘Sundaville Improved White’ has finer, evergreen leaves and a bushier habit than many of its cousins. A semi-trailing vine which will happily climb trellis and obelisks or fill hanging baskets with exotic looking trumpet shaped blooms from June right through to September time. Plants grow to around 2 metres in height and spread to around 50cm, flowering continually throughout summer into autumn. Dipladenia ‘Sundaville Improved White’ can be treated as warm temperate (H1C) perennial if offered protection in a greenhouse or conservatory in colder weather or grown as an annual bedding plant. Either way it is perfect for a sunny spot on the patio and well-suited to growing in smaller spaces too. Dipladenia ‘Sundaville Improved White’ prefers a sand or loam-based soil of any type and once established, is drought tolerant. Position in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing and you will be rewarded by oodles sumptuous white blooms with egg yolk yellow centres sure to be admired for their unusual and eye-catching style.
