Digitalis purpurea 'Dalmatian White' commands attention with its slender stalks adorned with clusters of blossoms. Whether planted as a focal point or nestled among other flora, its striking presence is undeniable. Eye-catching spires of downward facing, crisp white bells are produced from June to August. Commonly known as Foxgloves, Digitalis are traditional woodland biennials, beautiful for naturalising in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Growing well in any soil type except heavy clay, plant where it will benefit from full sun or partial shade. If you garden on heavy clay soil, enrich with leaf mould and grit to assist drainage before planting. Not just a feast for the eyes, Digitalis purpurea 'Dalmatian White' attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies, and when cut makes an excellent addition to your indoor arrangements too.
