Diascia Bright and Breezee Collection brings you hundreds of miniature, orchid-shaped blooms which bubble along wiry stems from May to October. Each of these deep centred flowers is illuminated by golden stigma which acts as a beacon, drawing in the pollinators who love these flowers almost as much as we do. Foliage is semi-evergreen and held for the majority of the year if you garden in a frost-free area. Plants in the Diascia Bright and Breezee Collection offer you cascading beauty for baskets and weed-supressing groundcover which will settle well in borders too (where it will scramble rather than cascade). This particular variety has been bred to produce more flowers over a longer period as an added bonus. Collection comprises barberae ‘Apple Blossom’; barberae ‘Orange’; and barberae ‘Red’. Plants in the Diascia Bright and Breezee Collection are half -hardy perennials so will not survive a hard frost. In consequence they are frequently treated as annual bedding plants. All prefer well-drained soil of any type and reach a height and spread of 20-30cm. Locate in full sun or partial shade with a south or east facing aspect.
