A fabulous introduction to the dazzling 'Sunflor' range of carnations. Dianthus caryophyllus 'Sunflor Fygi' bring compact, bushy mounds of evergreen foliage in flattened, narrowly lance-shaped, dark grey-green colour. Stiff stems bearing strongly fragrant, double, dark magenta flowers are borne from June right through to September.Dianthus caryophyllus 'Sunflor Fygi' is best know as a dwarf carnation but is also referred to as a border or pot carnation as it is perfectly suited to each situation. It also makes a marvellously rich and decorous addition to gravel gardens, rockeries and even conservatories or windowsills as it can be grown as a houseplant too! Blooms also make an excellent cut flower for bouquets, buttonholes and floral displays. Dianthus caryophyllus 'Sunflor Fygi' is a hardy, evergreen perennial which is drought tolerant once established and reaches a height and spread of 20-25cm. Deadhead to promote continual flowering and ensure you plant them in a well-drained soil which benefits from full sun.
