Tell Me More...
The fun and playful Dianthus 'Bailey's Celebration' bears frilly, raspberry-ripple-like flowers; each pale pink petal streaked with darker rose-pink. This gem of a plant blooms from June right through to September, its flowers highly scented and generously packed with ruffled, fringed petals. Evergreen in all but the coldest of winters, its foliage is slender and blue-grey, forming a neat, compact mound.'Bailey's Celebration' is perfect for adding summer-long interest to containers or the front of a border. Its flowers are excellent for cutting and have an impressive vase life. As well as bringing their beauty and scent indoors, picking has the added benefit of encouraging prolonged flowering on the plant. 'Bailey's Celebration' is a hard-working, reliable perennial, happy in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. It is extremely hardy, able to withstand temperatures of -15 C to -20 C providing its roots are not excessively wet during winter. H: 40cm S: 40cm.
