Tell Me More...
Part of a series bred for a smaller, sturdier stature, Delphinium Magic Fountain 'Cherry Blossom' seldom requires staking and is ideal for more exposed, windy locations. From June to July, it produces spikes densely packed with unusual, pale plum-coloured flowers, each of these white at the centre. A second flush of flowering is possible if spent flower spikes are removed as soon as they have finished.Delphinium Magic Fountain 'Cherry Blossom' is at its most effective planted in groups, creating a bold, dense swathe of colour within a border or container display. Like all delphiniums it will benefit from fortnightly feeding throughout the growing season, particularly if there is to be further flowering. For best results plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Delphinium Magic Fountain 'Cherry Blossom' is hardy to between -10 C and -15 C. As a short-lived perennial it is often treated as an annual or biennial, though with care and attention can be kept going for longer. H: 90cm S: 45cm.
