It may seem a contradiction to name this variety of Ice Plant (or delosperma) 'Fire'. Once you see it, however, you will understand why. Its intense colour really does remind you of the heat of a bonfire or winter hearth and it will add a reflective warmth wherever you choose to plant it in your garden.Delosperma 'Wheels of Wonder - Fire' is a weed-suppressing, evergreen groundcover plant which produces its handsome, daisy-like blooms from May to October each year for up to 6 months of dazzling displays. Flowers are flattened discs with separated petals, like spokes on a spinning wheel. Blooms close up at night and re-open in the morning to give a day of dramatic colour and act as an enticement for bees and other pollinators.Delosperma 'Wheels of Wonder - Fire' is a hardy perennial which prefers well-drained soil in full sun and will reach a height of 15cm with an individual spread of 60cm.
