Alstroemeria represent friendship in the world of flowers; making them a wonderful gift either as a plant or cut for a bouquet, with cut flowers lasting 2-3 weeks in a vase. The opulent, lily blooms add both elegance and exoticism to gardens when they flower in abundance from June to October each year. ‘Dancing Alstroemeria Duchesses d'Anjou Collection’ contains two established varieties, ‘Marguerite’ and ‘Isabelle’ with shades of yellow pink and cream, accompanied by a ‘fresh to market’ arrival, ‘Valentine’ who brings sumptuous shades of purple and white which shine forth. ‘Dancing Alstroemeria Duchesses d'Anjou Collection’ prefers a site with moist, well-drained soil of any kind. Unfussy on aspect, position in either full sun or partial shade. These regal blooms will happily grow in pots or in open ground, with these hardy and half-hardy (H4, H3), herbaceous perennials reaching a height and spread of 30-50cm.
