Tell Me More...
What a name, and what showstopping blooms, XXL Dahlia are known for their huge, sumptuous, double blooms atop small, vigorous plants. You will enjoy cutting armfuls of blooms all summer long and into the autumn, as the more you cut, the more you will get, non-stop. This collection comprises; ‘Veracruz’ - exceptional rain and temperature tolerance with joyous pink and white blooms; ‘Merida’ - so vibrant and colourful that flowers often appear luminous, the perfect mix of peach and pink for a thrilling double bloom; and ‘Tabasco’ - as hot and fiery to look at as the pepper-sauce from which it takes its name, with flaming red, orange and yellow. Plant the ‘Extraordinary Dahlia XXL Collection’ in fertile, well-drained soil of any type. Provide a spot in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north-facing. Half-hardy, herbaceous perennials which will need lifting and storing away from frost over winter, then reinvigorating the following spring, reaching a height and spread
