Another dahlia in the Mystic collection - this one has a real zing to its blooms - delivering bright yellow flowers with rich, chocolatey-orange centres. 'Mystic Illusion' is a clump-forming bushy perennial with dark, brown-black leaves which accentuate the single flowers perfectly. It will flower all summer long and keep going until the first frosts - at which point it should be cutback and the tubers should be lifted to store away from the cold over winter. Plant in a sheltered position in full sun with any aspect except north, ensuring that it is kept watered but given adequate drainage. Deadhead to prolong your blooms and keep your dahlia looking at its best. This dahlia has the RHS Award of Garden Merit so really is a showstopper that will grow to 75cm tall, with a spread of 60cm within a couple of years.
