Dinner plate sized, creamy coloured double blooms
New to us for 2024, Dahlia x hybrida ‘Café Latte’ gives you five months of creamy pink and coffee-coloured flowers which grow up to 20cm in diameter! Blooms are borne from June to October, held above bushy, verdant foliage which commences in March and remains until the first frosts. Plants grow to 1.2 metres tall, with a spread of 75cm, and there will be plenty of these strong stems for inside your home as well as the garden. Adaptable enough for pots, cutting gardens and herbaceous borders, these beautiful blooms are drought tolerant once established - so a weekly deadhead and water is all which should be needed until the colder weather arrives.
Dahlia x hybrida ‘Café Latte’ likes well-drained soil of any type, with a position in full sun. As a half-hardy, tuberous perennial your dahlia will need protection from frost in colder parts of the UK. If planted in open ground the tubers need lifting and storing over winter. If in pots –
