Tell Me More...
A vibrant and vital new arrival for 2025. Dahlia x hybrida 'Dahlegria Light Rose' fits neatly into almost any style of planting, from cottage garden to urban courtyard. The dramatic, dark foliage creates the perfect backdrop to light and airy pink and cream flowers above – which are held from June right through to October time. Not only do these open flowers offer excellent sustenance to bees and butterflies, the stems, when cut, will create a warm welcome in a vase, where they will last up to 7 days. At 60cm tall and 45cm spread, these dahlia are adaptable enough to plant in containers, herbaceous borders and raised beds, simply deadhead as each flower fades for continued supplies and remember to cut back foliage and lift plants at the end of the season as they do not tolerate frosts. This way you can reinvigorate them year after year. Plant Dahlia x hybrida 'Dahlegria Light Rose' in well-drained soil of any kind except chalk based. Position these half-hardy (H3), tuberous perennials in full sun with any aspect other than north facing.
