Tell Me More...
Crocus Remembrance is a large-flowered variety which would be fantastic to pair with striped varieties such as Pickwick or white varieties such as Jeanne D'Arc. The chalice-shaped purple petals cup the long yellow stamens towards the sun and the green foliage with signature silvery stripe sets the blooms off perfectly. Crocuses are perfect planted at the front of borders in drifts of colour, in rockeries, in containers or under the lawn. If planted under grass the foliage should not be mowed for 6 weeks following flowering. Plant Remembrance in well-drained soil with some moisture in a sheltered sunny spot. Sun-loving crocuses open their petals on sunshiny days and close them at night or when it is raining. These bulbs are planted in September-October to provide an amazing display of spring luminosity. Remembrance naturalises well in the garden and clumps that are too big can be divided for Spring colour elsewhere.
