Crocuses are a much-loved bulbous perennial. Crocuses provide a spurt of colour to the drab garden in spring. Blankets of the miniature purple, yellow and white flowers create a jubilant exhibition from late winter forwards. For the hibernating insects emerging from their slumbers, crocuses offer a vital supply of nectar and pollen. Here is our Royal Crocus Mix for you. Crocus x luteus 'Golden Yellow' - bright as the Spring sunshine and each bulb may produce 5 flowers; Crocus x cultorum 'Jeanne D'arc' - with an extra-large white flowers and a 'frilly' stigma at the centre; Crocus vernus 'Pickwick' - striped white and violet flower bowls look stunning in drifts and as an added bonus this variety is resistant to being eaten by the squirrels; Crocus vernus 'Remembrance' - royal purple, terrific for gritty, poor soils and a vigorous grower with a long life. An excellent choice if you wish to grow crocuses.
