Turn up the sunshine glow! Planted alone or ‘en-mass’ the golden yellow glow of Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora 'George Davison' will light up your late summer garden. Clumps of green strap like foliage produce arching spikes of rich amber-yellow, freesia-like flowers in July and August, shining like beacons attracting passing bees and butterflies to a late nectar feast. Named after George Davison, Head Gardener at Westwick Hall in Norfolk and who is generally regarded as the father of Crocosmia breeding in the UK. Known also as Montbretia, Crocosmia are perfect for borders, containers, and any planting scheme whether a cottage garden, a cutting garden or prairie planting. Excellent as a cut vibrant addition to floral arrangements within your home, as well as drought tolerant and rabbit resistant. Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora 'George Davison' will grow to a height of 90cm and spread to 30cm, preferring moist, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. Hardy bulbous perennials, they will die back
