Tell Me More...
Bursting with an electric energy, Cosmos bipinnatus Tango enthusiastically flowers its heart out throughout the summer and into early autumn, alongside an abundance of feathery, ferny foliage. As they emerge, the double blooms are a sumptuous, fiery red, but they soon turn to a bright, blinding orange, reminiscent of a cold glass of tango. It is no wonder that birds, bees and butterflies adore this award-winning vision. The daisy-like blooms look great when cut for a kitchen display. Collect them in the morning, before the blooms open and they could last up to ten days in the vase. Incredibly, the more you deadhead the plant, the more the blooms magically appear. We absolutely love mass planting these half-hardy annuals for the fullest, most colour display possible. Cosmos grow successfully in most ordinary garden soil, just ensure the area is well-drained and in a sunny or partly shaded position.
