A fabulous and adaptable clematis which is compact, ground-hugging and just as happy trailing up to 40cm from a pot or basket as it is planted in the ground. Simply magical, with silvery lilac blooms in both single and double form which emerge in May and continue through to August - this is an early, large flowering variety that will not disappoint. Foliage is borne from March right through to October time for additional, verdant interest.Clematis Tudor Patio 'Filigree' is ideal for patios and balconies - anywhere space is at a premium. Also great for larger spaces in need of floriferous interest up to 50cm tall (with a spread of the same) so good for seasonal groundcover too. Clematis Tudor Patio 'Filigree' prefers a spot in well-drained soil which benefits from either full sun or partial shade, although like all clematis it likes to keep its roots in the shade for the best results. A hardy, deciduous shrub which does not need winter protection when planted in the ground. Clematis pruning group 3, this Clematis should be pruned in late winter or early spring.
