Chlorophytum saunderisiae Starlight is striking and gives your garden elegant sparkle and shine for many years to come.A hardy relative of the well-known spider plant we often have in our homes, perfect for both borders and containers. Starlight also adds much needed texture and movement to your garden. Arching, grass-like, variegated, evergreen foliage, creates dense clumps, growing vertically until each leaf gently arches at the top, reminiscent of a glorious water fountain. Pretty, starry, lily white flowers with a lovely yellow stripe, adorn the end of the wiry stems from early summer through to late autumn. Native to tropical regions, Chlorophytum saunderisiae Starlight is heat resistant and hardy to -5 C. Preferring to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in sun or dappled shade, she will reach a mature height of 100cm (40"), spreading to 40cm (16"). Winter protection may be required during the coldest weather.
