Tell Me More...
Chionodoxa is a popular choice for naturalising in lawns and under trees. When planted in quantities, the flowers make a glittering blanket. Chiondoxa is Greek for 'Snow Glory' and these plants origins are the mountainous areas of Eastern Europe, so we know they are robust. This charming collection consists of: Chionodoxa forbesii 'Pink Giant' - has pink, star-shaped blooms with a paler centre? and a fine choice for naturalising in lawns, particularly beneath trees; Chionodoxa luciliae 'Alba' - given its mountain origins is excellent for rockeries where it naturalises well; Chionodoxa forbesii 'Blue Giant' - has larger blue flowers than any other variety. Chindoxa are beguiling easy grow plants and are a welcome addition in any planting scheme.
