A beautifully co-ordinated trio of Chaenomeles – great for planting together along a boundary as a spiny deterrent or using as strategic focal interest throughout your garden. Charming Chaenomeles Collection perfect for adding vibrancy and colour to your spring garden as they bloom from March to May. Flowers have a sweet, fruity fragrance and are nectar-rich – providing a feast for early pollinators and for admiring eyes.
Your Charming Chaenomeles Collection comprises japonica ‘Sargentii’ with intense red flowers (H: 1m S: 2m); speciosa ‘Nivalis’ with unusual, white flowers (H: 2.5m S: 4m); and x superba ‘Pink Trail’ with rich pink blooms (H: 1m S: 1.5m). All are vigorous, wide-spreading shrubs with tangled, spiny branches and glossy, oval, dark green leaves, which are retained from March to November each year. In autumn green-yellow, sweetly scented fruit which resemble small apples are produces. These are great for jams and loved by the birds.
