Tell Me More...
An exciting new arrival for 2024. Ceanothus impressus ‘Victoria’ is a medium sized, evergreen shrub with delicate, rich green, oval leaves held all year round on gracefully arching branches. In April tight buds burst into frothy clouds of dreamy blue blooms crowned with delicate golden stamen. Flowers last through to June, adding 3 months of abundant colour in borders, containers and open ground. Ideal as a specimen plant and robust enough for coastal gardens. Stems can be cut for a vase and blooms are exceptionally pollinator friendly. Ceanothus impressus ‘Victoria’ is one of the hardiest ceanothus available and is able to tolerate temperatures down to around -5 to -10°C (H4). Once established these evergreen shrubs are drought tolerant and reach a maximum height and spread of 1.8m over 5 to 10 years. Plant in well-drained soil which is loam or sand based and position in full sun with a south or west facing aspect.
