Solidaster, also known as Solidago, is a genus of around 100 species within the Aster family Asteraceae and are native to North America and Mexico but some varieties have been introduces into Europe. They were originally They are more commonly known as Goldenrods.
Solidasters are woody perennials with upright stems that bear small yellow, nectar-rich flowers during summer and autumn. They are well-suited to borders and beds within cottage, informal or prairie gardens.
