Schizophragma

History and Origin:

Schizophragma is a genus of flowering plants in the Hydrangeaceae family, native to Asia. The genus name is derived from the Greek word meaning ‘dividing wall’, in reference to the splitting nature of the fruit.

About:

Schizophragma are deciduous with flattened heads of clustered florets that are encompassed by heart-shaped petals and unusual ovate foliage, closely resembling lace cap hydrangeas.
