Lewisia is a genus within the Montiaceae family, native to North America. The genus name is named in honour of America explorer, Meriweather Lewis who discovered the plant in 1806.
Lewisia are herbaceous or evergreen perennial plants that form flat, large fleshy leaves with stunning funnel-shaped flowers that are displayed in varying shades of divine colour during spring and summer.
