Koeleria are a genus of plants within the Poaceae (grass) family, native to most continents with the exception of Antarctica. The genus was first described by German botanist Georg Ludwig Koeler in the late 18th, early 19th century.
Koeleria are annual or perennial grasses that form compact clusters on slender leaves and gorgeous flowering panicles in frosty shades of silver throughout summer. Koeleria are best suited to flower beds or borders within a city, courtyard or informal garden. You can expect to see Koeleria grow to an approximate height and spread of 10-50cm (5-8’).
