Cobaea is a genus of flowering plants within the Polemoniaceae family, native to Mexico. The genus name was given in honour of Father Bernabé Cobo a 17th century Spanish Jesuit, naturalist and American resident.
Cobaea are woody or herbaceous climbers that bare stunning pinnate leaves and large,bell-shaped flowers. They are best suited to a sheltered spot against a sunny wall or trellis within an informal or cottage garden setting. You should expect to see Cobaea grow to an approximate height of 4 metres (13’) and a spread of 1 metre (3’).
