Campanula

History and Origin:

Campanula is a genus within the Campanulaceae family, native to temperate regions of the Mediterranean and Northern Hemisphere. It is more commonly referred to by the name ‘Bellflower’. Campanula derives from the Latin term meaning ‘Little Bell’ – both scientific and common name refer to their bell-shaped blooms.

About:

Campanula offer an abundance of voluptuous blooms to create a real spectacle as they hang on lean spiny stems. Campanula will thrive where temperatures are of a moderate level and will therefore look at their best in June and July. However, if weather permits, they will prevail until as late as October.
