Brugmansia

History and Origin:

Brugmansia is a genus within the Solanaceae family, native to tropical regions of South America. All species are now declared extinct in the wild by the IUCN Red List although can still be seen in the wild as an introduced species. They are more commonly known as ĎAngels Trumpetí due to their large trumpet-shaped blooms.

About:

Brugmansia are evergreen or semi-evergreen shrubs. These elegant and pendulous flowers erupt from fascinating pods during summer and autumn to create a spectacular display with an often-delicious fragrance and stunning ovate leaves. Brugmansia are best suited as container plants within a cottage and informal garden setting, conservatory or greenhouse.
